How do I open a file in my web browser?
In many cases, clicking a link to a file (such as Word or PDF) in your web browser will open the file
within the browser window itself by "plugging in" the application. In this case you may not have access to all the usual
application toolbars and commands, but you will be able to view and navigate within the file.
For example, a Word file opened in Internet Explorer will allow you to view the file, but many of
the toolbar elements, such as the ruler, are not present.
