Motion pictures continue to be a medium of the big screen and though the Internet may not yet be a delivery vehicle for movies, it is certainly a medium for advertising new movies and for discussion about them. The Internet provides a forum for both professional and amateur film fans to trade information about movies past and present. In addition, movie studios and distributors are taking advantage of the World Wide Web's multimedia presentation capability to create elaborate sites from which to create excitement and mystique about films yet to be released. Follow these links to see how this entertainment medium is using the Internet to enhance film's image and how fans are using the Web in response.
