As magazines have led other media with innovations in journalism, advertising and photography, it is no surprise that they would also lead the way onto the Internet. Electronic magazines - called e-'zines or simply, 'zines - were some of the first to take advantage of the World Wide Web's ability to display splashy graphics, animated pictures, sounds, music and even video clips.
