  1. Can I view PDF files if I don't have Adobe Acrobat?

    If you are trying to view PDF files from one of our products, but don't have Adobe Acrobat installed, you have a couple of options. There are now many third party PDF readers that can be downloaded and installed. If you have one of these, you will be able to open the PDF files and view them.

    Alternatively, users can visit the Adobe Acrobat download site and install the free Acrobat Reader. Once you have installed the reader, you will be able to view the PDF files from the CD.

  2. Why can't I edit a PDF file?

    There are a couple of possibilities. First, if you have a PDF reader, such as the Acrobat Reader, you are limited to viewing the file only. To make changes, you must purchase a full PDF suite, such as Adobe Acrobat.

    Second, a PDF file will sometimes be "protected". Only the document's author, or an authorized individual, may make changes to a protected file.
