What is eText?

eText is online, interactive text. With Active Young Readers, TCDSB, teachers are able to:

View texts on an iPad or a computer
Search within the texts
Project the texts for classroom use

How to use your eText

Log in with the username and password that you received from your administrator. You will see all titles available for Active Young Readers, TCDSB. Select the cover of the title that you want to open. To close a title and open another one, select "Bookshelf" in the top right corner. For more information on how to use the features of the eText, please see Frequently Asked Questions.

The eText App for iPad and Android:

lets you access eText titles on a tablet (not available on smartphones)
includes all the features of your browser-based eText
keeps your most recent eText signed in; go to the bookshelf to view a different eText
requires a minimum of iOS 5.0 or Honeycomb v3.1 and a valid Pearson eText username and password
