Steve has been teaching Introductory Psychology at the University of Toronto Scarborough for more than 10 years. He has won a number of awards, and has been nominated as one of TV Ontario's (TVO) top lecturers on four separate occasions (once in the top 30, once in the top 20, and twice in the top 10). He also won a Leadership in Faculty Teaching Award from the Ontario provincial government, partly due to his work with the peerScholar program.
Dwayne E. Pare
Ph.D. Candidate, University of Toronto Scarborough
Dwayne is currently completing his Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Joordens. Dwayne was co-creator (and full partner) of the peerScholar program. His Master's research established the fairness of the grades within peerScholar, and his Ph.D. work continues to research the program and improve it based on the results obtained. He has won two psychology graduate awards, recognizing his research contributions.
Lisa-Marie Collimore
Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UofT)
Lisa-Marie Collimore has a doctorate in Developmental Psychology and Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE/UT), with a collaborative degree in Developmental Science. Lisa-Marie currently holds a MITACS Elevate Postdoctoral Industrial Fellowship for her research on the effectiveness of online educational technologies. Her research is focused on Cogneeto, the K-12 version of peerScholar, and its ability to enhance learning and critical thinking in student users.
