We know that our bodies have a natural healing power to deal with physical injuries and disease. In this remarkable new book, psychotherapist Janice Berger proposes that we also have a similar power to heal ourselves from the suffering of emotional distress. And just as we can help our bodies to heal physically with good nutrition, proper rest and exercise, we can also assist our natural emotional healing power by understanding how it works and facilitating its operation.
Some of what you will discover in this refreshingly down-to-earth book:
- why emotional health need not be a mystery
- how to understand and work with feelings instead of suppressing them
- how to integrate thoughts and feelings so we can act on our own behalf
- how to have responsible, satisfying and vibrant relationships well-being
- concrete, grounded directions for lifelong well-being
Honest, illuminating, and free from confusing jargon, Emotional Fitness
demystifies emotional health and, through simple, proven techniques, demonstrates
how to get started immediately on a healing journey.
