Remember the Oopik? Rochdale? Dark Shadows? Or is it all a purple haze?

Relive the '60s, '70s, and '80s in this entertaining ride through three memorable decades, Canadian-style. All the essential information about people, products, movies, TV, places and happenings worth remembering—and many that aren't—are covered. More fun than Trivial Pursuit (a great Canadian invention of the 1980s) this Complete Idiot's Guide is packed with mini-biographies, fascinating facts, and famous and infamous quotations. Just in case you're unfamiliar with the terminology, the Say What? sidebars explain them. As well, an idiot-proof time line helps you keep all the events in order. And, for diehard nostalgia buffs, a handy directory leads you to more books, Web sites, videos and other resources to keep you busy well into the '00s.

About the Authors:
Ann Douglas is the author of nine books including The Complete Idiot's Guide to Canadian History and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Curling. After spending the '70s hanging out in her parents' rec room in Mississauga, Ontario, Ann got a B.A. in history from the University of Toronto. She lives in Peterborough, Ontario, with her husband and four children.
