Everything you need to know about marital break-up
Divorce: A Canadian Woman's Guide is the only book any woman considering a divorce, about to go through a divorce, or in the process of divorcing will need. A guide to all aspects of marital break-up, it's also a book of stories from women who have come through their divorce in one piece. And woven among the stories are the ins and outs of legal and financial traps; the treacherous black ice that is the court system; the muck and sludge of custody issues; and the imbroglio of the financial settlement.
Twice divorced, three times married, a mother and a stepmother, Gail brings to her writing a wealth of first-hand experience. And her skills
as one of Canada's leading financial writers and as a journalist inform the weightier aspects of the book.
More on divorce:
- planning for divorce
- all the financial aspects (including what you can expect to pay)
- whom to seek out when you decide to divorce (lawyers, counsellors, mediators)
- how to write your own separation agreement
- divorce with kids (how to talk to them; custody and access; the financial issues)
- the psychology of divorce (what gets you there and what gets you through it)
