Welcome to the Text Enrichment Website for Technical Communication, Third
Canadian Edition. On this site, students and instructors can access the following resources:
- Technical Writing Examples: a Job Application Sequence; a User's Manual;
a Process Description Report; two Formal Analytical Report Sequences
- Writing Exercises: the Chapter 11 exercises; editing a "foggy" letter; analyzing paragraphs
- WebConnections: over 160 links to other useful Web sites, chapter by chapter. Look for the hot orange introductions to
URLs of sites dealing with current "hot topics" such as intercultural communication, reporting ethics, collaborative writing, and
single sourcing.
- Forms and Templates: the Audience/Purpose Analysis form, the Time Audit form, an oral presentation peer evaluation sheet, and
sample CBE and IEEE References pages.
This site may occasionally be updated with new material. In the meantime, please check my blog, at
www.commtalk.blogspot.com. It's designed for those who learn, teach, and/or
practise technical communication. The blog will feature frequent updates and interesting discussion forums. If you have ideas for improving
future editions of the book or suggestions for improving this website, please post to the blog or email me at
dklepp@shaw.ca.

Instructors can download various instructor resources from a password-protected location on Pearson Education Canada's online catalogue
